Imagine learning a new skill in just 20 hours and using it to launch a full-fledged website. That's the power of project-based learning according to me! This website is the culmination of my passion for creative exploration and a commitment to continuous learning.
My website’s journey started with a challenge I set for myself — to truly embody the principles of project-based learning. It was an ambitious project, crafted within a 20-hour learning sprint for graphic design and a 10-hour deep dive into content creation. With AI as my co-pilot, each page built was a step towards a deeper understanding, not just of the subjects at hand but of my own capabilities as an educator. It stands as a digital portfolio, a proof of my dedication, ready to support my future endeavors in teaching and learning.
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
I'm a lifelong learner with a natural talent for embracing technology. My strengths lie in areas like communication (both verbal and written), teaching, design, and planning. My interpersonal skills allow me to foster meaningful connections, aiding in effective teaching and development.
While I acknowledge public speaking as an area for improvement, I'm actively taking steps to address it! I'm planning to use innovative tools like VR technology to immerse myself in simulated speaking scenarios, allowing me to practice and refine my delivery in a safe and controlled environment. I belief personal growth involves embracing our weaknesses, and I'm fully committed to transforming this "weakness" into an area of strength soon enough.

It's the spark of potential in everyone around me that drives me. Witnessing minds ripe with ideas, yet often underutilized, pushes me to bridge that gap. I’m propelled by the belief that with the right tools and knowledge, there’s no limit to what we can achieve.

What inspired you to become an educator in ICT?
I've always been driven by a deep-seated passion for continuous learning and personal growth. From a young age, I recognized the value of education in shaping one's future. This led me to seek out environments that fostered curiosity and development, and I found that schools provided the perfect platform for this pursuit.
What truly excites me about being an educator in ICT is the opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation and progress. ICT isn't just a subject; it's a gateway to the future. By teaching ICT, I can empower students to not only understand the technologies that will shape tomorrow but also to envision and create the future they want to see.
How do you stay updated with the latest tech trends?
Honestly, I'm not a fan of traditional news sources. More often, they seem to focus on negativity, leaving me feeling overwhelmed and disheartened. Similarly, I prefer to keep my distance from social media platforms. As of today, I still don't have an Instagram or Twitter account, and I rarely check my WhatsApp, having muted most of the stories to avoid unnecessary distractions. One of my go-to resources is a YouTube channel called Matt Wolfe, which specializes in covering upcoming technologies and AI advancements. This channel provides insightful updates on significant developments in the tech world, allowing me to stay informed without getting bogged down by unnecessary distractions.
When I come across a technology or tool that piques my interest on Matt Wolfe's channel, I take a deeper dive into it by engaging in hands-on learning or exploration. This hands-on approach not only helps me understand the intricacies of new technologies but also allows me to evaluate their usefulness firsthand.
